Charles Henry West was a framemaker and artists’ colourman, who was important enough to be recognised and listed with both the Royal Academy and the National Portrait Gallery. The business was established in 1895 and worked until 1960. The 117 Finchley Road address was used between 1902 and 1960. There is a second label, but it is badly worn and degraded.
A beautiful frame that could be used portrait or landscape or a wonderful mirror There are a few losses and chips on the gilt, please study the images.
