Rare Georgian Oak Spice Wall Cupboard

This is a rare piece of Georgian furniture. This wonderful oak cabinet was made to be hung on the wall and to store spices, which at the time would have been incredibly expensive to purchace. The cupobord is rectangular in shape with moulded detail to the top and bottom. The door has been made with some beautifully hadcrafted panels, the two upper panels with arched detail. The cupboard has a lock and retains the key, the lock is working, but sometimes needs the key to be fidgeted to operate. The cupboard has a fitted interior with various shelves and three drawers. There is a deep age related patina throughout, some marks and bumps commensrate with its age, there is no woodworm. This is a delightful and very usable wall hanging cupboard, that would also work resting on a surface, as photographed.
